"All About Japanese Culture": Book a School Visit!

The “All About Japanese Culture” School Visit Program is organized by the Consulate-General of Japan in Toronto and services schools across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Consulate staff with lived experiences in Japanese culture and art will visit your classroom and hold age-appropriate presentations on topics of your choice.
The program is mainly suited for secondary school students (Grade 9 – 12) and offered on weekdays (Monday to Friday) between 10:00 AM and 3:30 PM.
Topics of presentation include:
- Japanese customs and etiquette
- Martial arts and Japanese culture
- Pop-culture (manga and anime)
- Japanese culinary culture
- Japanese art and workshops including “Etegami” (Japanese illustrated letters)
These visits are free of charge. We require the presence of teachers to supervise students during our visit.
To book a presentation, please complete and submit the designated application form after carefully reading these guidelines.
Due to the limits of our capacity, we may not be able to respond to all requests or may ask you to modify them.
