On Dec. 8, Afghan community hosted a memorial ceremony in front of Toronto City Hall for Dr. Tetsu Nakamura who died in Afghanistan on Dec. 4. Consul-General of Japan Takako Ito was present to give an eulogy. Approximately 80 people of Afghan diaspora were in attendance to express their appreciation of Dr. Nakamura's accomplishments, as well as their condolences to his bereaved family and to the Japanese people.
