The New Japanese Canadian Committee Pays Courtesy Call on Consul-General Ito

On June 27, Consul-General of Japan Takako Ito received a courtesy call by members of the New Japanese Canadian Committee (NJCC) of the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre (JCCC), including newly instated representatives Ms. Miki Rushton and Mr. Jiro Fukushima.

The NJCC hosts the annual Oshogatsu-kai (New Year's Festival), and also actively participates in events hosted by the JCCC, such as its Summer, Winter and Spring Festivals. The NJCC has also recently started to hold events focusing on seniors, including monthly meetings as well as cooking and health and wellness classes.

Ms. Rushton and Mr. Fukushima said they would like to increase NJCC’s exchange with other organizations whenever possible, aiming to undertake activities that effectively benefit the community.
