Consul-General Matsunaga's Attendance at the 64th Annual Issei Day

On October 4, the 64th annual "Issei Day" was held at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centrer. In his remarks, Consul-General Matsunaga expressed deep respect and gratitude for the immeasurable contributions that Nikkei seniors have made over the years, celebrated their longevity, and wished them continued good health. Also at the event, highlights of the unveiling ceremony of the new Japanese Canadian Monument were shared with attendees. The ceremony had taken place the previous day on October 3 in Victoria, British Columbia, to honour and preserve the history and legacy of Japanese Canadians for generations to come.
