Business-to-Business Tasting Event for Food Products from Tokushima Prefecture Held at Consul-General's Residence

2025/12/23
On November 24, a tasting event promoting the export of Tokushima Prefecture food products to Ontario businesses was held at the Consul-General’s official residence. Approximately 60 people participated in the event, including officials and food industry representatives from Tokushima Prefecture, as well as local food importers, restaurant operators, and supermarket representatives.

The event featured tastings and samplings using diverse Tokushima ingredients, including sparkling Awa Bancha tea fermented with lactic acid bacteria, steamed Naruto Kintoki sweet potatoes, Sudachi Buri (Sudachi-fed yellowtail) sashimi, vegan dashi-flavoured soy sauce and ponzu – served with hot tofu, and a yuzu hot sauce – served on smoked salmon.

Business discussions to bring these products to Ontario were held alongside the event, making this a valuable opportunity for promoting the export of Tokushima Prefecture ingredients.
