Consul-General of Japan ITO Takako attended Raptors 905’s Japan Day wearing a special
Raptors tee shirt which incorporates the Japanese flag in its design.
On Dec. 28, Consul-General of Japan ITO Takako attended Japan Day hosted by the Raptors 905 basketball team based in Mississauga during its game against the Greensboro Swarm. The event featured a performance by the Kyowa Taiko drum ensemble, and another by the Yosakoi dance team Sakuramai during half time. There was Japanese food available in the stands for the occasion, and approximately 4700 people in attendance were treated to the charms of Japan.
