Tokyo Gorin Ondo 2020 at Sakura Japanese Language School

On Sept. 21, the staff of the Consulate-General of Japan in Toronto visited the Sakura Japanese Language School at the University of Waterloo’s Renison University College, and danced the Tokyo Gorin Ondo 2020 along with the school’s students. In addition to learning about Japanese traditional dance, the children tried their hand at striking a taiko drum, fully enjoying the feel of a genuine Japanese festival. The Sakura Japanese Language Schools currently provides 42 students with a variety of activities and events every Saturday through which they can study the Japanese language and culture.
