Consul-General Ito Attends Celebration of Asian Heritage Month at Northview Heights Secondary School

On May 17, Consul-General of Japan Takako Ito attended and gave remarks at the celebration of Asian Heritage Month held at Toronto’s Northview Heights Secondary School. This event was part of the Asian Heritage Month activities organized by the Toronto District School Board. Japan was this year’s theme country, and the taiko drum ensemble Nagata Shachu and the dance group Sakuramai gave performances. In addition, students from nine schools introduced other cultures of Asia.
