“Sakura Delight” Campaign Promotes Japanese Cuisine

To coincide with the Commemorative Ceremony for the 60th Anniversary of the Sakura Donation to High Park and the Enthronement of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan, the “Sakura Delight” campaign to promote Japanese cuisine will take place with the support of the Japanese Restaurant Association of Canada (JRAC). The campaign will run from April 28 (Sun.), the day of the ceremony, to May 12, Mother’s Day. During this time, menus incorporating the theme of Sakura (Japanese flowering cherry) will be served at.eight Japanese restaurants in the Greater Toronto Area.

During the campaign, the Consulate-General of Japan will also use social media to promote seasonal Japanese cooking through “Sakura Delight”.
