Consul-General Ito Visits the City of Kariya in Aichi Prefecture

On April 4, Consul-General of Japan in Toronto Takako Ito visited the City of Kariya in Japan’s Aichi Prefecture. There, she met with Deputy Mayor Takashi Kawaguchi, and also visited the Kariya International Friendship Association as well as Mississauga Park and other locations.

The sculpture of the Canadian Maple, which had been situated
in front of the Canadian Pavillion during the 2005 World Expo
in Aichi, was donated to Mississauga Park after the Expo.
