Consul-General Ito Participates in the BMX Freestyle Canadian Championships News Conference in Markham

On Feb. 20, Consul-General of Japan Takako Ito attended the BMX Freestyle Canadian Championships News Conference that took place in Markham. There, aided by promotional videos, she gave an explanation of various Japanese Government initiatives aimed to ensure the success of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games. BMX Freestyle Park will be a new event at the 2020 Tokyo Games, and the bikers gathering in Markham will not only be competing for the Canadian Championships but also for selection toward the Olympics.
