Consul-General Ito Visits Barrie

On Oct. 31, Consul-General of Japan Takako Ito went to Barrie, visiting its municipal government office as well as Innisdale Secondary School, Georgian College, and the headquarters of Suzuki Canada and of Innovation Automation Inc. The Consul-General used this opportunity to give presentation and to exchange views with her hosts. Barrie has conducting exchange with the city of Murayama in Japan’s Yamagata Prefecture for over 20 years, and each of the two communities has been actively dispatching youth and citizen delegations to the other.
