Dundas and Kaga Friendship Organizations Receive Consul General’s Commendations

On Aug. 17, Consul-General’s Commendations were awarded to Kids for Kaga of Dundas, Ontario, and the Dundas Tomo no Kai (Dundas Friendship Association) of Kaga in Japan’s Ishikawa Prefecture. The commendations were conferred at the celebratory ceremony in Dundas marking the 50th anniversary of the exchange between the two municipalities. Kids for Kaga and Dundas Tomo no Kai were given the recognition for their many years of service developing the student exchange program between the communities and increasing youth exchange between Japan and Canada.
