Participating in the One Sky Festival at the University of Waterloo’s Renison University College
2018/9/26

A drum performance by Arashido Taiko.
On Sept. 22, the annual One Sky Festival was held at the University of Waterloo’s Renison University College. The Consulate-General of Japan provided the Festival with performances by the local idol group Pastel and with the drum ensemble Arashido Taiko, as well as setting up an information booth with an officer on its activities and on Japan. Now in its 22nd year, this event began as an East Asian festival which focused on the cultures of Japan, China and Korea. However, its name was changed last year to the One Sky Festival and the event now includes representation of Islamic culture as well. The festival provides information, interactive experiences and performances for each of the cultures represented.
