Consul-General Ito Attends the Canadian Stakes Races

On Sept. 15, Consul-General of Japan Takako Ito attended the Canadian Stakes, a part of the first race exchange between Woodbine Racetrack and the Japan Racing Association, and participated in the awards ceremony.

Woodbine Racetrack is a historical racetrack for thoroughbred and standardbred racing established in 1874, which takes pride in its longest turf course in North America measuring 2,412 kilometres. The track is known as one of the main horse race venues in North America from holding many international competitions.

The exchange race in Japan, the Paradise Stakes, was held on June 24 at the Tokyo Racecourse.
