Taking Part in Japan Day at Western University’s Huron University College

2017/11/4

A demonstration of the Japanese Tea Ceremony

On Nov. 2, the Japanese language program at Western University’s Huron University College held Japan Day. Consulate-General of Japan provided Tea Ceremony demonstrations and booths where attendants could try on kimonos, obtain general information on Japan as well as learn more about the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme. The event is organized each year primarily by students studying Japanese, and the venue was filled with people interested in Japan or the Japanese language.

Members of the Toronto Kimono Club help attendants try on kimonos and have their photos taken.

Students listen attentively to explanations on the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme.
