2025/10/3

Work by Ms. Trish Chan, President of Ikebana International Toronto Chapter

On September 28, the 44th Ikebana Exhibition hosted by the Ikebana International Toronto Chapter was held at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre, attracting many visitors. The theme for this year’s exhibition was "A Faithful Encounter," inspired by the three major elements of Ikebana: Heaven, Earth, and Man. Fifty-three works by chapter members were displayed, and instructors from the Ikenobo, Ohara, and Sogetsu schools conducted demonstrations. Consul Ota Tomohiro of the Consulate-General of Japan in Toronto attended the exhibition and expressed respect for the cross-school exchange promoted by Ikebana International, under the motto "Friendship through Flowers."
