Ohara Toronto Chapter's 51st Spring Floral Exhibition

2025/4/14

On April 13, the Ohara School of Ikebana’s Toronto Chapter hosted the 51st Spring Flower Exhibition at the Toronto Botanical Gardens, attracting a large number of audiences and participants. In addition to the display of 25 works by members of the Toronto Chapter, Ms. Rosita Tam, Ms. Carol Legros, and Ms. Ming-Li Wu demonstrated ikebana arrangements, and the packed house enjoyed watching the flower arrangements and the completed works. Ikebana workshops were also held at the venue, where many children experienced the joys of ikebana. Consul-General Matsunaga Takeshi also attended the exhibition, and in his opening remarks, he stated that the Ohara School of Ikebana style continues to evolve by incorporating new elements while preserving traditional forms, which has fascinated many people. With the cold weather lingering this year and people eagerly awaiting the arrival of spring, ikebana and flower enthusiasts flocked to the exhibition and enjoyed the early arrival of spring.
