Temporary Visitor Visa for Short Term Business

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  1. Valid passport 
  2. Visa application form with 1 recent passport size photo (2 forms and 2 photos are required for countries of Russia/CIS) https://www.mofa.go.jp/files/000124525.pdf
  3.  Valid Work Permit/ PR Card* to Canada(must be valid until the date you return to Canada) *Confirmation of PR is NOT acceptable. 
  4. Employment Letter issued with detailed information of business trip(job title, income, length of employment, purpose of visit, travel dates, expenses etc.)
  5. Flight itinerary(Not an actual ticket, a screenshot printout of your entire planned flight from Ontario) One-way ticket is NOT acceptable. 
  6. Invitation Letter from a host company or organization in Japan(scanned copy is acceptable) https://www.mofa.go.jp/mofaj/files/000472928.pdf

If a guarantor in Japan will pay travel expenses, the following also need to be submitted:
●Guarantee Letter from Japan(scanned copy is acceptable)

●A certified copy of the incorporation register or an overview of company/organization
 
For attending conference or seminar, the following also need to be submitted:
Conference details, Flyer, Documents to prove activities
 
If you pay the trip expenses, you must bring your own bank statement(name, date, and sufficient balance is required).

Additional documents may be required depending on the contents of above mentioned documents.
