Ikenobo Ikebana Society of Toronto Holds 61st Anniversary Flower Show

 
On Sept. 8, the Ikenobo Ikebana Society of Toronto held its 61st Anniversary Flower Show at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre. Consul-General of Japan in Toronto Matsunaga Takeshi gave remarks to open the show.

Ikenobo is the oldest and largest school of Ikebana, and Ikenobo Ikebana Society of Toronto President Betty Lou Arai has been teaching at the JCCC since 1977.
 
The teachers of the Ikenobo Ikebana Society of Toronto demonstrated a range of styles and techniques that emphasize harmony, balance, and the natural beauty of flowers.
