Presentation on Japanese culture at Anime North

On May 27 (Sat.), the Consulate-general of Japan in Toronto, along with the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO)and the Toronto office of the Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau (TCVB), hosted a presentation on Japanese culture through anime tourism at the annual pop culture event Anime North 2023.  

Many of those in attendance had traveled to Japan before and were planning a return visit, considering such activities as pilgrimages to locations depicted in their favourite anime. A high interest in Japanese culture and tourism among the audience was reflected in the insightful questions they asked.
