The 41st Ontario Japanese Speech Contest

Consul-General Sasayama delivers his opening remarks.

On March 4, the 41st Ontario Japanese Speech Contest, hosted by the Ontario Japanese Speech Contest Organizing Committee, was held at the University of Toronto. Consul-General of Japan SASAYAMA Takura delivered opening remarks. The contest consisted of four divisions – Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Open – and 28 Japanese language students were able to present the language skills gained from their studies. The winner of each category will go on the participate in the 34th National Japanese Speech Contest to be held on March 26 at the Japan Foundation, Toronto.
