Consul General Pays Courtesy Call on
Ontario Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Employment
On July 8, Consul General of Japan Eiji Yamamoto paid a courtesy call the Hon. Eric Hoskins, Ontario Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Employment, and exchanged views on widening economic and industrial cooperation between Japan and Ontario.
Consul General Yamamoto gave an overview on how Japan and Canada presently work together in the fields of energy, healthcare and aerospace. He said he hopes that areas of cooperation will widen and also that greater investment will be made in Japan in the future. Minister Hoskins explained Ontario’s activities in the fields of trade and investment, and expressed hope for greater cooperation between Japan and Canada in a wide variety of fields.
