Consul-General Yamamoto Visits Western University
Consul-General of Japan Eiji Yamamoto visited Western University in London, Ontario on Jan. 29, and met with Dr. Janice Deakin, the University’s Provost & Vice-President (Academic), They spoke and exchanged views on such topics as the internationalization of Western and academic exchanges with Japanese universities.
The Consul-General also gave a presentation entitled “Japan in Asia and its Relations to Canada: Under the New Abe Administration”, and explained to the over 100 students in attendance that Japan is contributing to the development of Asia, and that there is hope for greater growth for Japan and Canada.

The Consul-General also attended Dr. Radoslav Dimitrov’s seminar on international relations and diplomacy and spoke with students who aspire to a career in the field of diplomacy.
