University of Toronto Celebrates Japanese Culture
The annual Japanese cultural fair Konnichiwa Japan! was held at the University of Toronto on November 15, organized by its Class of EAS460HIF, the Department of East Asian Studies and Centre for International Experience. Many students, as well as members of the general public, were in attendance. The Consulate General of Japan supported the event, providing a presentation on anime, information booths on tourism and the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme, an exhibit of cultural artifacts, as well as happi jackets on loan.
