Ambassador Ishikawa Addresses Toronto’s Business Community
Ambassador of Japan to Canada Kaoru Ishikawa at the Speakers Forum on April 24 addressed 150 representatives of Toronto’s business community, the media and the Japanese Canadian community. He spoke on a wide variety of topics, including: the recovery of Japan since the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11, 2011; the importance of Japan-Canada economic relations; as well as current cooperative efforts between the two countries, with particular focus on science and technology exchange. The Speakers Forum is a lecture series that has been aimed at the local business community since 1979. Past speakers include former US President Ronald Reagan, former South African President Nelson Mandela, as well as such notable Japanese as Sony founder Akio Morita.
