Japanese Calligraphy Competition in Canada 2011 Awards Ceremony and Exhibition
The Fourth Annual Japanese Calligraphy Competition in Canada Exhibit's opening as well as the competition's awards ceremony were held on Nov. 13 at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre. This exhibit is organized by local calligraphy artist and teacher Noriko Maeda, and supported by the Consulate-General of Japan.
Consul-General Eiji Yamamoto awards the Grand Prize to the winner.
Consul-General of Japan Eiji Yamamoto gave congratulatory remarks in addition to presenting the Grand Prize and Gold Prize to the winners. The number of entries in this competition increases each year, and this year 152 works were submitted from across Canada. The exhibit will continue until Nov. 26.
