25th Anniversary of The Sister City Relationship Between Toronto and Sagamihara

On July 5th, Consul-General Yasunori Nakayama attended a reception and Sakura tree planting ceremony celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the sister city relationship between Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture and the City of Toronto.Adding to the short list of places in Toronto to view Sakura blossoms, the Sakura trees and saplings planted last year and this year in Birkdale Ravine will become a new place to enjoy Sakura. Consul-General Nakayama hopes that people from around the city will come to see these trees to appreciate the longstanding friendship between Toronto and Sagamihara.
