Presenting Tea and Go at Road to Asia
The Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre’s annual Road to Asia festival was held on Nov. 5 and 6. Various Asian communities in Toronto participated by selling food and other goods, as well as by holding performances of song and dance.

Located in the JCCC, our Japan Information Centre used this opportunity to present demonstrations of the Tea Ceremony and workshops on the ancient game of Go, giving visitors a chance to enjoy Japanese culture.

Both Tea and Go were well received by the visitors who held a great amount of interest in Asian culture. Many of them had never seen a Tea Ceremony in a Japanese style room, which attracted visitors of all ages. As the Japan Information Centre will be closing as of January 2012, this was to be its final public event.
