Consul-General Nakayama Visits Queen's University
On April 21, Consul-General of Japan Yasunori Nakayama was in Kingston, Ontario, where he met with Dr. Steven Liss, Vice-Principal (Research) of Queen's University, and Ms. Katherine O'Brien, the school's Associate Vice-Principal (International). They exchanged information and views on the academic activities at Queen's, particularly those relating to Japan, as well as ongoing research and development projects between Kingston and Japan..
Afterwards, Consul-General Nakayama gave a presentation entitled "Japan's Security Policies" at the university's Centre for International and Defence Policy . About 15 students were in attendance to hear about Japan's policies on security and defence, which have always reflected the country's commitment to peace since the end of the Second World War.
