Consul-General’s Commendation for Ms. Jean Peasah and Mr. Motozo Yamamori
On June 2, a special ceremony was held at Consul-General of Japan Yasunori Nakayama’s official residence to confer his commendations to: Ms. Jean Peasah, who dedicated her career to community service activities for local Japanese and Japanese Canadians; and to Mr. Motozo Yamamori, who was the first Secretary General of the Toronto Japanese Association of Commerce & Industry (Shokokai), and who established three major sister-city relations between Japanese and Canadian municipalities.
