On June 30th, Consul-General of Japan in Toronto Yasunori Nakayama attended a press conference at Mississauga City Hall for the upcoming Mississauga Japan Festival celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Mississauga-Kariya Sister City partnership, which is scheduled for July 10th. Consul-General Nakayama praised the cities of Mississauga and Kariya for their celebrations of the 35th anniversary of the twinning and hoped that many Mississauga residents would attend the festival and become more interested in Japan.
