Matsuri Rocks Yonge-Dundas Square with Japanese Dance
Matsuri: The 2nd Toronto Japanese Summer Festival was held in Yonge-Dundas Square on July 27. The Consulate General of Japan provided information on Japan along with the Japan National Tourism Organization and the Toronto Chapter of the JET Alumni Association, and also organized Matsuri Odori – Interactive Dance. The dance was a traditional Japanese folk dance with over 80 cosplayers and volunteers dancing alongside general visitors to the festival. It proved to be a highlight of the day.
