Consul-General Nakayama Meets with Mayor of Markham

On Oct. 16, Consul-General of Japan Yasunori Nakayama met with Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti and exchanged views on further developing relations between Japan and Markham. Mayor Scarpitti gave an explanation on the development of his city, saying that diversity among its citizens is its strength socially and economically. There are about 20 Japanese businesses operating in Markham, and making contributions to the local community.
