Students and chaperones from Nara Women’s University Secondary School were in Toronto from February 7 to 16 under the auspices of the Kakehashi (Bridge for Tomorrow) Project. The group visited the Ontario Legislative Assembly as well as Toronto City Hall for courtesy calls, and toured the Mitsubishi Heavy Industry Canada Aerospace plant in Mississauga, the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre in Don Mills, the Momiji Centre in Scarborough and the CBC Broadcast Centre in downtown Toronto. The group also visited their exchange partner school, Riverdale Collegiate Institute to experience a typical day at a Canadian school.
