New JET Participants Embark on Their Journey
This year's new Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme Participants.
A reception for the new Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme participants was held on August 3. More than 40 new participants attended in Toronto, most of whom would be departing the following day to assist in English language education and other internationalization activities in Japan.

Consul-General of Japan Eiji Yamamoto in his speech recounted the Programme many achievements. He expressed hope in the participants' potential in not only in raising the level of English education in Japan, but also in strengthening Japan-Canada relations after their return.
