JET Alumni Gather for National Conference

On June 6, the 14th Annual JETAA (JET Alumni Association) Canada Conference was held in Toronto, bringing together representative alumni of the Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme from JETAA chapters across the country. JETAA in Canada currently have chapters representing the following regions: Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec and the Atlantic Provinces, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, Northern Alberta, Southern Alberta, and British Columbia and Yukon. They were joined by representatives from the Japan Local Government Centre in New York, The Japan Foundation, Japan National Tourist Organization (JNTO), Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), the Japanese business community, the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre, Japan-Canada friendship organizations, Japanese Government Scholarship Alumni Association of Ontario (JGSAAO) and Japanese Canadian media. Approximately 60 guests enjoyed the opportunity to exchange ideas and information.
