Consul-General Nakayama Attends Japan Film Night
On Sept. 14, Consul-General of Japan Yasunori Nakayama attended the Japan Film Night reception, hosted by the Japan Foundation, Toronto and UNIJAPAN to celebrate the Japanese films and film makers featured at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival. About 150 people were in attendance, representing the Japanese and Canadian Film Industries as well as the local Japanese and cultural communities.. Remarks were made by Consul-General Nakayama, Japan Foundation Executive Director Takashi Ishida, actress Kiki Kirin as well as film makers Kimie Tanaka, Mamoru Hosoda, Naomi Kawase and Hirokazu Koreeda.
