JAPAN DAY at Huron University College
On Nov. 1, the annual JAPAN DAY was held at Huron University College in London, Ontario, centering on Japanese language education. Vice-Consul Daisuke Nakamura attended from the Consulate-General of Japan. The venue was full of people from the area, as well as students from nearby University of Western Ontario.
The Consulate-General loaned happi coats and lanterns, enhancing the festive atmosphere of the event. Using this opportunity when many people interested in Japan gathered, photos of tourism attractions in Japan’s northeast were exhibited, and information was provided on the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme.
