Introducing Traditional Play at the Spring Festival

 

The annual Spring Festival, or Haru Matsuri, was held at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre on March 4 and 5, featuring Girl’s Day dolls, festive displays by various organizations and performances on stage.

The Consulate-General of Japan made use of this occasion which attracts many children in order to introduce the joys of Japanese culture at a young age. Our display featured Japanese toys, and was enjoyed by kids and adults alike.
