Consul-General Meets with Minister of Natural Resources
Consul-General of Japan Eiji Yamamoto paid a courtesy call on Ontario Minister of Natural Resources Michael Gravelle on Nov. 1. They took the opportunity to discuss mining development in the province’s northern regions as well as the sister city relationship between the Minister’s home town of Thunder Bay and Gifu, Japan.
The Consul-General also asked that the provincial government support mining development projects in which Japanese corporations are taking part. The Minister responding by expressing hope for further Japanese investment in Ontario’s mining sector, as well as his desire to further invigorate the exchange between Thunder Bay and Gifu.
