Japan Society President Receives Foreign Minister's Commendation

On October 22, a reception was held at the official residence of Consul-General of Japan Yasunori Nakayama to celebrate Mr. Ben Ciprietti, the President of the Japan Society, receiving Japan’s Foreign Minister’s Commendation. The Foreign Minister’s Commendations are given to individuals and organizations from various fields for their exceptional contributions toward the promotion of friendship between Japan and other countries. In addition to recognizing their accomplishments, the Commendations are intended to bring greater awareness and understanding of their activities. This year 108 individuals and 30 organizations have been awarded the Commendations.
About 45 guests, including those from Canada’s business community, as well as representatives of the Japanese-Canadian community, gathered to celebrate Mr. Ciprietti's accomplishments.
