Visit with Mr. Sheldon Levy, President of Ryerson University
On Tuesday November 13th, 2012, Consul-General of Japan Eiji Yamamoto paid a visit to meet with Ryerson University President Mr. Sheldon Levy.

Established in 1948 as the Ryerson Institute of Technology, over the years the school underwent a number of expansions. In 2001 the school assumed its present name, Ryerson University.
President Levy explained that at Ryerson, his students’ gain practical learning and research experiences through close interaction with industry and developing exchanges with globally-minded cutting-edge businesses, including those from emerging nations such as India and Brazil.
During their discussion, Consul-General Yamamoto acknowledged the importance of the exchanges taking place between Ryerson and Japanese Universities and businesses, and encouraged plans to have even more exchanges going forward.
