President of Japan Society and Celebrated Print Artist Receive Foreign Minister's Commendations

Japan Society President Ben Ciprietti and internationally renowned print artist Naoko Matsubara have been awarded Japan’s 2014 Foreign Minister’s Commendations.
The Foreign Minister’s Commendations are given to individuals and organizations from various fields for their exceptional contributions toward the promotion of friendship between Japan and other countries. In addition to recognizing their accomplishments, the Commendations are intended to bring greater awareness and understanding of their activities. This year 108 individuals and 30 organizations have been awarded the Commendations. Mr. Ciprietti and Ms. Matsubara were the two who were selected from the Greater Toronto Area.
