Ms. Keiko Belair, Honorary Chair of Sakura Japanese Language School, receives Commendation from Ministry of Foreign Affairs

 

On July 25th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan announced this year’s Foreign Minister's Commendations. Ms. Keiko Belair, Honorary Chair and Special Advisor of the Sakura Japanese Language School at Renison University College, in Waterloo, is a recipient of the Foreign Minister's Commendation for 2013 for her “promotion of Japanese language education in Canada”.  Renison University College is affiliated with the University of Waterloo.

Ms. Belair is one of 97 individuals to receive this year’s Commendation.

The Foreign Minister's Commendations are awarded to individuals and groups of outstanding achievements in international fields, to acknowledge their contribution to the promotion of friendship between Japan and other countries. The Commendation also aims to promote the understanding and support of the Japanese public for their activities.
