Consul-General Nakayama Attends Official MOU Signing by Oshawa, NEDO and OPUC
On July 17, Consul-General of Japan Yasunori Nakayama attended the official signing of an MOU for the implementation of a smart community joint project among Japan’s New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), the City of Oshawa and the Oshawa PUC Energy Services (OPUC) .
In his congratulatory remarks, the Consul-General stated that this project held great significance for Central Canada from the perspective of securing emergency power supplies, and of using environmentally friendly renewable energy. As well, he said this project symbolizes Japan-Canada friendship, and that he wishes much future success for this example of positive Japanese business development in Canada.
