Consul-General Attends Grand Opening of the Third MUJI Store in Canada

On Oct. 21, Consul-General of Japan Yasunori Nakayama attended the grand opening of the third Canadian MUJI store, located in Yorkdale Shopping Centre, which follows that of the first store in the Atrium in downtown Toronto and the second store in Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga.

 

The Consul-General in his remarks congratulated MUJI on its expansion since its first store in Canada opened in November 2014. He also said the growth of MUJI both domestically and internationally is evidence of how the brand is regarded highly around the world, and that this was a source of great pride for the Japanese people. He said he also held great hopes for the chain’s further growth in the future.
