On April 26, Consul-General of Japan Yasunori Nakayama attended the ceremony commemorating the 10th Anniversary of the establishment of MHI Canada Aerospace in Mississauga.

The celebratory ceremony was attended by Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie and Mr. Paul Sislian, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Bombardier Business Aircraft, as well as Mr. Tetsurou Hisano, MHI Vice President and MHI Canada Aerospace Board Director, as well as other dignitaries.

Consul-General in his remarks expressed his pride regarding MHI Canada Aerospace’s remarkable growth since its establishment in 2006.  He also expressed his appreciation to the City of Mississauga for working to attract Japanese corporations and creating an ideal business environment for them, which accounts for how one-third of the 250 Japanese businesses operating in Ontario are in Mississauga.  He also expressed his hope that MHI Canada Aerospace will continue to develop closer ties with the region through its economic and social contributions, further strengthening friendship between Japan and Ontario, as well as Japan and Mississauga.
