Consul General Yamamoto Visits Ontario Finance Minister
Consul-General of Japan Eiji Yamamoto paid a courtesy call on April 26 to Ontario Finance Minister, the Honourable Dwight Duncan, and exchanged views on such topics as deliberation in the Ontario Legislature over the draft budget and the current situation of Japan-Canada economic and financial relations. Consul-General Yamashita explained that there are about 270 Japanese businesses operating in Ontario, contributing greatly to the province’s economy through providing employment. He expressed his hope for continued support of Japanese businesses here.
Minister Duncan said he hoped friendly relation between Japan and Canada to continue, and that economic relations will be strengthened with the aim toward further development.
