On Nov. 4, Consul-General of Japan Yasunori Nakayama attended the opening of the new headquarters of Canon Canada, which has justmoved its premises from Mississauga to Brampton.  In attendance were Brampton Mayor Linda Jeffrey along with some of the city’s counselors, Canon USA Chairman Yoroku Adachi and other dignitaries.

In his remarks, the Consul-General commended Canon Canada for contributing for over 40 years to the success of Canon.  He said Canon is the largest manufacturer of imaging equipment and office machinery in Japan, and that the company has utilized the highest technology to produce superior products to be shipped around the world.  He also expressed hope that, through Canon Canada’s continued contributions socially and economically to the region, Japan’s friendship with Ontario and Brampton would be strengthened.
